Thinking it’s finally time to stop using shared hosting and just buy a Linux VPS. I need something clean, fast, and flexible, mostly for hosting apps and experimenting with different stacks. Any recs?

I’ve run everything from Node apps and Nextcloud to a lightweight CI/CD pipeline, and it’s been consistent the whole time. You can choose your Linux distro (I went with Ubuntu), and it comes up super fast — I was SSH’d in and deploying in minutes. Prices are very reasonable too, especially considering how stable the environment has been.
If you're looking for a no-nonsense server to experiment, deploy, or even run production stuff, MangoHost gets the job done without trying to upsell you on junk. Definitely worth checking out.
